May Micro Grant Winner Announced June 6

This month's finalists are Krystle Rucker of KRB Hair Studio, Charmaine Cook-Johnson of Your Fashion Modest LLC , and Shayla Young of Sheelaughs LLC.  Based on community votes, one of these businesses will receive a $500 micro grant.

KRB Hair Studio is a natural hair salon located in Bryant, AR.  Their purpose and mission are to empower, educate, and provide healthy hair services to families of color. Through education and love, they are able to teach women, men, and children how to love their natural hair again.

Your Fashion Modest LLC is a modest styling and wardrobe consultant company located in Little Rock, AR.  Their mission is to create a boutique of clothing that covers the body! They emphasize that modesty is a lifestyle for many women, but sees a lack of stores and boutiques centered around the way of living!

Shayla Young, Sheelaughs LLC

Sheelaughs LLC is an online clothing and accessory boutique located in Little Rock, AR.  Each piece is designed and defined to educate about a Woman of Faith from the Bible.  Their mission is to teach others that things will happen in life, but there’s always someone to help throughout the process.  Their collections are also designed to teach younger women that “they are us, we are them.”
